Sohail Sultan
Chairman of the Board of Directors
Sohail has 30 years of experience in financial services, acquired at leading multinational financial institutions. He started his career at Citibank (London) reaching the positions of Head of Global Product Development for Financial Institutions, Head of Structured Finance for Asia Pacific and Head of Cross Border European Structured Product Arbitrage within six years. His responsibilities included process and risk management, building and management of revenue, product innovation and deal execution in Europe, the Americas, Africa and the Far East. Subsequently, he worked at Barclays Capital (London) for nine years holding senior positions including Managing Director, with responsibility for expanding the company’s Structured Capital Markets business beyond the UK into North America, Europe and Asia Pacific. He then worked at Cobussen and Partners, providing advisory services for private equity infrastructure projects in South Asia, the Middle East and the UK and developing a portfolio of structured investments with a group of private and institutional investors. Sohail holds an M.Sc. in Economics (Accounting & Finance) from the London School of Economics and an LLB (Business Law) from City of London Business School.
Neili Yahyaoui
Ceo
Neili brings over 20 years of extensive experience in designing, deploying, and managing FTTX & Telecom projects across diverse regions of the African continent. Having joined Tunisie Telecom in 2021, he was able to quickly move up the chain of responsibilities within the fixed networks management department where he ended up occupying the position of FTTX Project Director consolidating the position of the historic telecom’s operator in Tunisia as a technological leader in the high-speed bandwidth market. In 2014, he joined the giant MTN as a senior consultant for the launch of an FTTH project in the Ivory Coast. Neili joined NETIS Group in 2018, a leading service provider in over 15 African countries, where he was a key player in the setup, management, and development of FTTH solutions and projects in over 7 countries in senior management positions. He has been an integral part of the design, deployment and maintenance of infrastructure that connects more than 200k customers via FTTH across Africa. He remains deeply passionate about the evolution of the telecom sector and actively contributes to the success of innovative projects. Neili is a telecom engineer from ESPTT in Tunis. In addition to this he has undertaken multiple training programs that include the designing and planning of a variety of networks including GSM, NGN, FTTX and FTTH-FTTB.
Abdirahman G. Kawalieh
Director-technical Operations
Abdirahman as played a significant role in the successful deployment of FTTx in Djibouti. Across a career spanning 24 years, he has held pivotal positions at renowned organizations such as NSC Global, UK Broadband, GlobalNet ICT, Claranet ISP, 3 Network, and ANSIE. This included an 18-year stint in London's telecommunications sector where he progressively advanced from roles in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd line support engineering to strategic leadership positions. On the educational front, he is equipped with a Master's degree in Advanced Telecommunication and Wireless Engineering and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Systems and Networks from London South Bank University. In addition, he hold a diverse range of professional certifications from industry giants including CompTIA, Splunk, Microsoft, Infinet, Juniper, and Cisco. A standout accomplishment in his career has been the successful management of network upgrade projects for high-profile clients such as Allianz, Heathrow Airport, Felixstowe Port, and the Royal Bank of Scotland, with the latter project involving a comprehensive network of over 6000 sites worldwide.
Amina Ahmed Osman
Manager-operation Support and Marketing
Amina Ahmed is an engineer specialized in computer networks and telecommunications, with a solid professional background. She began her career as a teacher at Djiboutian universities, where she shared her expertise in various fields such as business management, team management, project management, marketing, and telecommunications. In 2022, she was honored with the Best Teacher of the Year award at Iscae, recognizing her exceptional dedication to higher education. She was also appointed as the chair of the examination board, contributing to the assessment of students at all levels, from bachelor's to master's degrees. After obtaining her high school diploma, Amina received a government scholarship to enroll in one of the most prestigious preparatory schools in Morocco. She completed a two-year program in physics, chemistry, and engineering sciences at Moulay Youssef School in Rabat before joining an engineering school, where she earned a state diploma in computer network and telecommunications engineering. She also holds a Cisco certification and management certification, showcasing her expertise in this field. More recently, Amina joined the afrifiber team as the Manager of Operations support and Marketing. In this role, she focuses on risk management and business continuity, making a significant contribution to the company's growth and success. Her diverse and accomplished professional journey reflects her competence and dedication in the field of information technology and communication.
